The Cinematic Arts program has been nationally recognized as one of the top film programs in the country. He has worked with Aspen Film and their collaborative Summer Film Camp with the Red Brick Center for the Arts since 2021. About the Camp

Do you dream of becoming a filmmaker? This one-week, full-day immersive camp is designed for teens who are curious about expressing themselves through animated storytelling. Participants will experience what it’s like to be part of a creative team while developing their own original stories from start to finish.

Students will explore multiple animation styles, including 2D animation, stop motion (cut-out, pixilation, claymation, object motion), and puppetry. Using hands-on arts and crafts and Adobe Creative Cloud software, participants will create and composite their animated films, which will be shared with friends and family at the end of the week.

Aspen Film and the Red Brick Center for the Arts partner with the Aurora Community College Cinematic Arts Department to provide experienced, professional educators. With a staff-to-camper ratio of under 1:5, each student receives individualized guidance and support in this exciting, collaborative filmmaking experience.
