Artists in Residence Studio Application
Red Brick Center for the Arts is accepting applications for one (1) artist studio. Please review the eligibility requirements, expectations, and application checklist below. Applications are due by February 8, 2026.
The Red Brick Center for the Arts offers studio space to working artists who want to be apart of a collaborative environment. Resident Artists are selected through an application process and must maintain a commitment to working in their studios 20 hours a week and participate in select Red Brick programming. The Resident Artists are integral to the vitality of the Red Brick as place for creative exchange and discovery.

Studio size: 273 sq. ft.
Includes: In-studio sink
Rent (2026): $663 per month (utilities included)
Lease term: Through December 31, 2026, with an option to renew annually if in good standing
Materials Restrictions
This studio is not available for work involving materials that create significant fumes, dust, or debris such as clay, encaustics, woodworking, or other noxious, dusty, or debris-producing materials.
About the Red Brick Artist Studios
The Red Brick Center for the Arts provides affordable studio space for working artists in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Studios are intended for emerging and established artists who want to be part of an active community and are willing to participate in and contribute to the Red Brick’s mission. Artists working in a range of approved artistic mediums are encouraged to apply.
Resident Artists are expected to be actively engaged in their artistic practice and committed to advancing their creative work and careers. The studio program supports artists in growing as creatives, entrepreneurs, and small business owners.
Resident Artist Expectations
Minimum studio time: 20 hours per week
Participation: Take part in Red Brick Arts programming
Policies: Applicants must review and agree to the Resident Artist policies and commitments

Selection Process
A selection committee will review applications and recommend an artist. Selection is based on:
Artwork submitted
Statement of intent (including why you want to be a Red Brick Resident Artist)
Demonstrated commitment to your artistic practice
Application checklist
Name, address, and contact information
Artist bio and/or résumé
Statement of intent (answer all of the following):
Why you want a studio at Red Brick Center for the Arts
Your need for studio space at Red Brick
Your artistic goals
Your commitment to your artistic practice
Whether you can meet the minimum requirement of 20 hours per week in the studio
Three (3) references (include contact information)
Ten (10) images of different artworks
