The Model in Costume

  • Red Brick Arts 110 E Hallam St Aspen United States (map)

Paint or Draw the Human Figure in Costume. Open to all levels.

Every Thursday during the month of February and March we will have a model posing in costume. We will delve into themes such as historical dress, the use of hats, musical instruments, and other evocative or historically significant props as they become available.

There is no instruction. The model will be in the same costume and same pose for the duration of the two week/2 hour class period. This is an opportunity in addition to our Open Figure Drawing class to further develop our skills in drawing and painting the figure.

Cost: $20 model fee. Please come with cash and give directly to the model.

Dates: 10am-12pm
February 20th, 27th
March 5th, 12th, 19th

Some drawing supplies are supplied: charcoal, pastels and paper, as well as, easels, tables and drawing boards. If you desire to paint the model in watercolors or oils/acrylics, please bring in your own supplies. I have some 16x20 and 20x24 canvases you may purchase from me.

Please Email Monitor to join The Model in Costume group, to find out dates and potential class cancellations.
