Your class will be taught by Carly Price, the artist and founder behind Clever Magpie Glass Works. Carly is a stained glass artist specializing in the copper foil (Tiffany) method. With a formal background in the theatrical arts and years of hands-on experience working with glass, Carly is passionate about making stained glass approachable and enjoyable for beginners. Her teaching style is supportive, clear, and process-focused—guiding students step-by-step while encouraging creativity and confidence. Whether it’s your first time cutting glass or holding a soldering iron, Carly ensures a welcoming environment where students can learn new skills, ask questions, and leave with a finished piece they’re proud of.

Perfect for absolute beginners, this hands-on workshop introduces the full stained glass process from start to finish using the copper foil (Tiffany) method of stained glass. You’ll be guided step-by-step through every stage of creating stained glass—from selecting your pattern and glass to cutting, foiling, soldering, and finishing your piece.

This class is designed to give you a strong foundation and the confidence to continue exploring stained glass on your own. You’ll complete a small beginner-friendly project that allows you to experience every essential technique in a single session.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to safely score, cut, and break glass

  • How to grind glass for proper fit

  • How to apply copper foil cleanly and evenly

  • Basic soldering techniques for assembling your project

  • Cleaning, polishing, and care tips for stained glass

All tools, materials, and safety instructions are provided—just bring your creativity!
