About the Session
Join us at the Red Brick Center for the Arts for fun and social art-making evenings. Whether you have art experience or not, come create during our evening sessions and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or beer.
Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
Luz del Recuerdo
Celebrate the spirit of Día de los Muertos by creating a glowing Luz del Recuerdo In this one-evening workshop, create your own glowing Luz del Recuerdo (Light of Remembrance) lantern using translucent vellum and warm LED candles.
These handmade lanterns honor a beautiful, centuries-old tradition. The light you create will illuminate a path so spirits of loved ones can easily find their way back to their families for this joyful season of remembrance.
Extend the experience beyond the classroom by visiting Aspen's community Día de los Muertos ofrenda. Participants are welcome to bring their Luz del Recuerdo lantern to add their light to this collective expression of remembrance and connection, or simply visit to admire the installation and reflect alongside the community.
Cost
$28 per session, per person; all supplies are included.
The Red Brick Center for the Arts is conveniently located just two blocks away from the RFTA bus stop on Garmisch Street.
