Meet Your Instructor:

Your class will be taught by Carly Price, the artist and founder behind Clever Magpie Glass Works. Carly is a stained glass artist specializing in the copper foil (Tiffany) method. With a formal background in the theatrical arts and years of hands-on experience working with glass, Carly is passionate about making stained glass approachable and enjoyable for beginners. Her teaching style is supportive, clear, and process-focused—guiding students step-by-step while encouraging creativity and confidence.Whether it’s your first time cutting glass or holding a soldering iron, Carly ensures a welcoming environment where students can learn new skills, ask questions, and leave with a finished piece they’re proud of.

 

About the Session

Join us at the Red Brick Center for the Arts for an evening of creativity, connection, and hands-on art making. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced artist, these welcoming studio sessions offer a chance to learn something new, meet fellow creatives, and enjoy light snacks and refreshments while you create.


In this beginner-friendly stained glass workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of the copper foil method while designing and constructing your own stained glass piece. We'll provide the materials and prepare the technical components in advance, so you can focus on the creative process of arranging, assembling, and finishing your artwork. This class is designed for collaborative making, with tools shared between two participants. Bring a friend or enjoy getting to know someone new as you create.

This relaxed workshop emphasizes exploration, creativity, and the joy of making. Come on your own, bring a friend, or join fellow community members for an inspiring evening of art, conversation, and creative discovery.


Cost

$40 per person, all supplies are included.

The Red Brick Center for the Arts is conveniently located just two blocks away from the RFTA bus stop on Garmisch Street.
