Red Brick Center for the Arts is delighted to showcase a collection of artworks by Wendi Schneider, known for her photographs of nature and wildlife printed on vellum or kozo with hand-applied layers of gold leaf or verso. Wendi's work does more than depict nature; it evokes the emotional and sometimes transcendent experiences of life. As Wendi states, "In those magical moments when my eyes and essence are engaged, I photograph what I feel, as much as see. The images are layered digitally with color and texture to blur the lines between the real and imagined." Wendi’s works are a testament to the fragility of life and the cycles of existence, capturing fleeting moments with a touch of wonder and reverence.
