About the Session

Why do so many photos fail to look the way we remember the moment?
This all‑level photography class explores how light, composition, and basic editing choices shape strong, intentional images.

Participants will learn key rules of composition, when to bend then, the rule of thirds, while experimenting with both grand landscapes and intimate scenes. We’ll focus on understanding different types of natural light and how to use them to your advantage, then finish with an introduction to basic editing techniques including exposure, contrast, highlights, and shadows.

Open to all experience levels. Any camera is welcome, including smartphones. Be prepared to explore outside in any type of spring weather.

What to Bring:

  • Any photo camera: mirrorless, DSLR, or smartphone

    • If using a camera with detachable lenses, bring what you have; one lens will be used during class
