REsourceful Artmaking
This workshop explores the numerous ways artists can reuse and recycle existing materials into fresh creations. Through looking around our classroom, in the recycling bin, and out in nature, we seek inspiration in the transformation of familiar objects into works of art. Aluminum cans morph into robots; summer grasses become the tip of a paintbrush for plein air paintings; cardboard boxes rehydrate and blend into pulp for paper mâché! The possibilities are endless when we think creatively about being resourceful with our art supplies.
Instructor Leah Aegerter will lead students through creative upcycling, helping them to use resourcefulness and inventiveness in their artistry.
